d/3 engine

hi i have a 2008 d/3 and have been told it has an m/y engine.
if so what is the difference with this and my 2006 model?

One difference (I think) is the 06 will be a EU3, where the 08 is a EU4 with regard to the emissions levels Never get mad - get even !!

06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k

previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !

EGR system is different, cooling system is different, Fuel system is different, engine breather system is different, wiring loom is different...

Basic engine is the same, just all the sh*te bolted to it is different Laughing My D3 Build Thread

thanks guys for the detailed replys,especially disco mikey for the pics etc,i spent an hour or so
looking at it all and decided to have a drink and read it again later.
