D3 1 Audi A4 0
Sitting in my legally parked car this morning reading a newspaper when I'm hit from behind by a school run mum driving an Audi A4 stopping -but not quite-to drop off her kids. Didn't see her coming but impact speed probably 2 to 4 mph as felt quite a jolt.
Result: front of A4 grill / bonnet quite badly dented. Literally cannot find a mark on the D3 rear bumper.

She should buy an SUV.
How can the silly woman arrive at school in a car to drop off her kids
Does she not care about their safety ?

I'd still get your car looked at. The plastic bumbers can take a whole load of abuse (handy when off-raod) but the 'real' metal bumper undeneath is just like any other. I doubt it will have done much, if any damage, but best to check.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice.
I've checked around under the rubber bumper quite carefully and can see no damage at all.
The impact was absolutely square on and right in the middle so it hit the towing eye / tow bar attachment which look absolutely pristine.
If I get chance I might take it to a bodyshop for a quick look.

Yeeh,
In this case I should check my car as well. My car returned from the dealer with a slightly scratched bumper (I believe I didn't have these scratches before) and later I found that even my right back light has a crack in it.
I think they hit something light or some trolley on wheels in their workshop when reversing.
The dealer's answer was that nothing happened (what should I expect otherwise as an answer) and that they are not responsible for the scratches. And immediately they started to argue that my car was horribly dirty, that the scratches must have been from before. Well I clean my car about twice a year and I cleaned it the day before the service because I know that the nicer your car looks, the cleaner they do the job.
I left it for wat it was but decided never to use this dealer again. And make bad publicity for them... They forget that the customer is always right!
Thats why I like a towbar....great for those 'dopey dinah' drivers who park by feel rather than sight.2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

Might look like a bit of a plough share but the multiheight towbar is great for close parking! Eevn better when "they" want to get a bit too close to my baby!

Why I leave the removable on mine... and I'm too lazy to take it off.
Anyway, a LR should have a tow bar

No, this D3 is road only!
I bought a set of 17"s for £300 with new tyres. Put them on just to see how they compare & noticed little difference. Combination of can't be ar$ed changing them back & using up the part of the tread tread before I'll flog them to 17" drivers who want full sized spares (or for STTs). 19"s in the shed for now.
