Thks for the pics
Did u manage to take pics of the back of the coloured connectors please
Ref the front curtain airbags , as there fitted u can check there plugged in by removing ur front headlining light, ur can see the airbag canisters and wires should be plugged in
U have been busy with the centre console ecu
Have u rescanned after doing that plse
I had a zero ohms reading and found some airbags were unplugged so indeed we should be able to find it without u having the mess around too much
So at the end of the day we would have then checked so far
Front curtain airbags are fitted and plugged in at canisters by front headlining light
Both front seats plugged in
Both front seat belts haven’t fired
Both front front impact sensors present and plugged in
Look forward to see after you’ve checked the front curtains are plugged in

Sorry for the delay,
I struggled to get a good photo but can try again.
I’ll pop the light out and check the connection
Cleared errors and rescanned and same issues again
Will check the airbags tonight, have been offered another clock spring for £20?
Thanks for your help againMY2023 Discovery 5 R-Dynamic 3.0

My friend lent me a new clock spring and light exists still although haven’t reset codes yet
I still haven’t got the front air bags checked, that’s tomorrow’s job as I’m free again over the weekend but think I may need to drop headlining as struggling from the light hole

So,,,
Checked the front air bags and they are connected,
Checked all wiring in the loom as well and they look OK.
Going for the airbag ECU next as suggested. MY2023 Discovery 5 R-Dynamic 3.0

Hi
the headliner will come out the back door, is tight but just doable , if u do need to happy to talk u through it to get it out undamaged
Ref scanner can u get live data of the airbag ecu
If u take off the front doors rubber seals u can get a torch and look up to ensure the airbags are srill neatly in there cover or have fired
Must admit I ended up chasing my tail then bought the gap iid , got the live data which showed the ohms reading of all the airbags and airbag system , then found
Seat belt pretension was faulty
Front Rh curtain airbag error
Crash data
The gap iid saved me endless hours as it told me which airbags were good , along with fantastic help from here
Personally think that’s ur next call to get that live data , as an item may be present but it’s an unknown if there 100% sound
Back airbag connectors are behind the rear small panels half way up near the back door where u may have speakers fitted
Plus there’s airbags inside the front seats
Hope that helps a little

Thats a good hel, thanks.
The IID refuses to get any live data off the ecu such as voltage we makes me think its that that is faulty.
I dont have the ones at the back due to being a 5 seater, no speakers either.
More time on the IID tool i think.MY2023 Discovery 5 R-Dynamic 3.0

Glad it helped
Meant to ask did u check all of ur impact sensors, know u checked the front ones
There should be 6 x of them , seeing urs is the 5 x seater assume there Isn’t any fitted in the boot
Does seem to be going down that route ref the ecu
would u be so kind to rescan the error codes please, see if anything has changed
Also have u reset the crash data That’s on the suspension ecu via the iid yet plse, many thks

Also meant to ask, when u checked ur airbags were plugged in, did u unplug them after removing the battery and waiting 30 x minutes before hand to ensure no pins were broke inside
Got a horrible feeling the front seat airbags have fired , but then again ur not getting any readings back from them and will show a higher ohms readings , ie around 10 ohms if they fired
Know there are companies who can professionally reset the crash data, I was lucky enough the gap iid done it for me
Plse us all know how it goes

Hi
Sorry for the delay - I have now fixed this.
It was the airbag ECU.
What i did in the end was purchase a second hand module of the same model number.
He was able to take the vehicle specific info from mine and put it on the old, sent it back and refitted.
All works perfectly.
Thanks to GStuart also for your help on this one.MY2023 Discovery 5 R-Dynamic 3.0

Hi, I am currently having a similar issue with the airbag light. It only comes on when the drivers seat is moved far forward …………….(wife is short) Its fine when the seat is moved back.
