D3 Alarm warning

Does anyone know what signs the D3 gives if the alarm has been activated whilst you are away from the vehicle.

Do the indicators flash more than the usual once when the vehicle is unlocked.

No doudt someone will tell me if the car had been successfully broken into and stolen the sign would be it is not where it was parked. Laughing Laughing Laughing Rolling with laughter So you'll have to come with some others....

My indicators flashed like mad one time after a rough ferry crossing. Alarm must have went off enroute due to the tilt sensor or something.

....

I was leafing through the book last night since I just got my D3 yesterday & I'm pretty sure it said the headlamps flash about 10 times when you press the unlock button of the remote. I know I should have been out driving around in the new wheels instead of reading the manual but it was one of the foul nights that Aberdeen specialises in - dark (at 3 o'clock!), raining, blowing a gale & freezing cold. Sad

Thanks for the response it is very much appreciated.

I keep meaning to leave the dog in the back and fully set the alarm or maybe sit there with a window half open, but it's one of those things i only remember to try when it's raining or to late to experiment with, hence the posting as the answer would probably get resolved by the one's who have had alarming problems.

Thanks again for your input......

I have had to turn my RRSport through 90 degrees on my drive today in the storm force winds hers today. The car alarm has been set off by the wind buffeting the car with the wind side on so now the car is "hove to", head to wind, on the street outside the house until the gusts subside in ferocity!
Fortunately it was one of my neighbours walking passed the house who noticed the alarm being set off as I couldn't here it inside the house........ so can anybody tell me if it is possible to adjust the volume on the alarm sender. CliffH has told me there was a thread on here about adjusting/disconnecting something that will make the alarm sound the horn but I've searched on "alarm" "alarm sender" and "alarm adjustment" and not found anything.

Hi Tim,

The following post tells you how to change the alarm to the horn instead of the siren.

Thanks Woody, might cheese off a few neighbours by hooking up the horn, but at least I will be able to get earlier warning rather than a flat battery from the almost silent alrm being triggered and me not hearing it! Nobody else in the courtyard where I live has had their alarms set off by the wind so the RRS's tilt sensor must be very sensitive
