Will you are tightening spare winch until it makes a "snapping" noise arn't you? Just that's the clutch mechanism and thats how much you need to tighten it

Even though it's improved massively after fastening up the spare wheel I've booked it in tomorrow to see if it needs anything.
Will report back.

Is your spare wheel swinging around? tighten it up & see if that cures it? (It's been known to happen)

Will, glad you brought this up thought it was only mine!!! i have had the same noise as you on the rear for a while now had tfc round a couple of weeks ago to do a few jobs, while here he changed the arb bushes on rear but ive still got this banging on rear when going over a bump doesent sound like i think a car with this type of suspension should sound bit like a car with normal suspension would ,thought it would be nicely damped with the air type checked spare wheel seems ok

Okay, so I just picked it up from the shop and man what a difference.
Had him replace rear ARB bushes and rear drop links.
He said one of the bushes was on it's way but having driven it home it's noticably quieter at the back.
I also had the EGR's blanked at the same time.
Total bill came to £150.50, excluding EGR blanking parts which I provided but incl. bushes and drop links.
Worth every penny.
Hope you get yours sorted Darryl
It's funny when you pick up a car from the shop, I swear the engine sounds quieter now D3 incl. genuine glass windscreen, front bi-focal headlights, full width rear bumper, self levelling washer bottle contents and audible 'tick tock' indicator stalk
