D3 Insurance..how much?

on the 'Cautionary Tale' thread insurance costs were touched on [whilst the main topic was tracking devices]. Two mentions of insurance costs were raised - £850 & £650. got me thinking...how much do you pay?
reason being, mine is fully comp for Business as well as S,D&P and i pay £385 per year - over 10 installments [Liverpool Victoria]. I don't have to have a tracking devise fitted [although i do]. only stipulation is that i'm a member of the csma approx £12 pa. so true cost is £397.
do i have a bargain? Confused

It all comes down to a like for like quote. I used to pay around £400, but when I wanted offroad cover I moved to NFU. It added well over £100 (£560) but it gave offroad cover and new for old cover, I too have business use and have no devices fitted. They have just quoted for my wife's freelander and matched More Than's quote and saved £100 on home insurance so I guess they like me!! Also as a mutual company at the end of the year they give a profit payout (6% this year) so the real cost is lower. It is very difficult to make like for like but you do need to consider exactly what is covered.
