D3 V8 .. Thoughts on eBay Spot
Morning,
I've been looking to get another D3 v8... had really hoped for a D4 v8 but may have to settle on D3 as the D4 seems like hens teeth. Anyway this popped up on eBay at weekend.
Does this belong to a forum member? I am located in N Ireland so would be travelling based on faith buying unseen which worries me!! How does it seem on price?
Thanks

I didnt think the D4 had been sold in the UK with the V8, only gulf states and the USA.

Only ever seen one RHD V8 D4 and that was at Guava, the export side of things, so prob a demonstrator.
PS And ISTR someone had one for sale (not sure if imported or demo one) but he had problems getting it insured as V8 D4s don't show up on insurers database as never officially sold here.

Yeah I had out a wanted Ad up for a D4 And was aware very few were ever on the uk market. Suggestions had been for import. Witham Specialist Vehicles had a D4 v8 a while ago but was only for sale outside EU. I had heard about problems of insurance. I think one person on the forum has one as a read some posts.
So because of this I've decided to go for another D3 v8 if I can find right one. Def not LPG. I had one here in N Ireland and sold it 6 months ago. I knew only of a couple of others here.. so will have to go to mainland to source one as they are a rare beast here.
I bought a 3.6 TDV8 RR Vofue to replace the D3 and I haven't really taken to it.

I looked at interesting D3s and D4s for ~3-4 months, got a odometer-tampered D4 TDV6 that I managed to return at no cost to me. After I managed to get rid of it a relatively rare D3 V8 popped up (~40ish registered here all in all) on one of the used car sales sites here. I got more interested once I figured out that the petrol engine, at least on paper, is more reliable than the diesel one. All smiles since.

well that side looks very shiny and straight
the drivers seat looks in very good condition from the 2 pictures
I would say it was worth a look if that's what you are after.
I just wouldn't ask them to do my wedding photos.

Checked the MOT history and it reveals that it failed on January 17 but subsequently passed when the fail points were fixed. I have attached a screenshot, hopefully I have successfully managed to attach the pic as I'm not too much of a tech genius! There is a list of advisories.. these still appear on the pass.. would any of them give cause for concern?

No concern at all if you’ve got deep pockets...
