Did you check the tyre pressures Matt? I've run with 17", 18" & 19" and not really noticed any difference though admittedly the 17" and 19" were both on mud terrains which give a slightly different ride anyway
I check my tyre pressures almost weekly and got what is meant to be the most reliable pressure guage too.
However, it must be those 17" road tyres. They are pretty worn out. On the drive to and from the weekends fun, the 17" tyres were squealing a bit on the roundabouts and fast bends. On the drive back (as I was still in play mode ater playing in the sand on Sunday) I pushed it hard through some country roads and the tyres were squealing on every bend, so I guess these worn tyres of the cuase of the handling difference, not the size. I'll get set of Cooper muds for these 17" alloys soon, ready for the next play weekend.Matt
