Spoke too soon. Keeps pooping it's pants.

I've also cleaned the plugs and checked the wiring under the rear wheel arch - clean and tidy, but I did it anyway.

There has been something of a pattern emerging - start car in the morning (because it does, quite happily) - drive it say 10 - 15 miles. It will then throw errors as described earlier. Get it home, turn off, car will not re-start for love nor money - wait say 30 - 45 minutes - car re-starts as good as gold.

I ran out of talent ages ago with this, so I wondered if anyone had any theories.

Check earth strap contacts are clean and tight from front drivers chassis behind plastic wheel arch to engine
It has 3 contact points
* engine

Hope it solves the problem

LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)

I did have a look at the earth strap, but with assistance from my local chap, I think the mystery has been solved.

It's the instrument cluster.

Next step is to get it fixed. There seem to be a few places offering this and I've found good things said about two - Totaltronics and Essex Recons - the latter having the advantage of being close to me (Surrey).

Any other suggestions from my learned co-owners, as ever, much appreciated.

There have been a few members on here that have used totaltronics and have been very happy with the service given.
Thumbs Up
