D4 2009 stop/start button
Just sold the ole D3 for D4, start stop button is very worn cosmetically , almost white in the middle ! Are these very easy to change , thanks. HD4 XS

Managed to pop my button out without removing the trim, replaced new one in less than 1 min! I used one of those plastic trim remover tools...D4 HSE

Hi,

Friend looking for an 8 speed D4 and have seen one advertised with less than 60k but the Stop/Start button is badly worn away
ok easy to replace, so do the letters wear off very easy or is it a sign lots and lots of short journeys

Mines 2013 with 88k and it’s showing signs of wear. Average journeys for me, bit of long bit of short.
However, I do always switch the ignition on without starting in the morning to check the oil. So mine gets 2 presses for the first start of the day.

Mines a 2012 with 130k but the button is like new
But maybe it has already had one. My last car had 65000 on when i sold it and that had no wear either, would be a little suspicious of sub 60k car with a worn out start button??
Either that or check the previous owners finger
If it looks like this then it may explain why
SWMBO's previous car, none of the text on any regularly used button was readable. All of them chipped away bit by bit..
