D4 cup holder Removal.

Hi all. Has anyone removed the cup holder on their d4. I'm trying to remove mine to replace it after spilling something VERY sticky in it.
I've tried pulling it upwards and the front seems to unclip but the rear seems more stubborn.
Any tips?

Grab and pull hard. There are only metal clips on the front and back ... and remember: you have to get the cup holder out without any tool when accessing the emergency release for the EPB.

Have you got a 750ml Camelbak water bottle? If so, put it in the passenger side then pull laterally towards you, Mine usually comes out a treat using this method Rolling Eyes Seriously though, this does work Smile

Thanks all but still struggling . Unpops at the front but the rear still stuck. Does it make a difference that I have the fridge in the middle? Don't want to break anything.
Has Anyone actually done this?

The fridge doesn't make any difference, you just have to give it a good tug or you could try using a screwdriver to lever it up. As Voug says the trim in question needs to be removed quite easily as you need access underneath it if you have to use the emergency release for the parking brake Thumbs Up

Mine was stuck with a coffee spill. Just use a scraper under the front trim, came out easy. It's stronger than you think but it comes out.

Put your fingers facing outwards into the cup holder, one had to the front and one to the back. Force against the sides and pull up sharply and with a bit of gusto. If that fails pull it out one side as you've done, put it back and keep doing it. Eventually it will come out. Thumbs Up
