I've got the standard heater matrix block, heat only coming from the drivers (RHD) centre vent, all others only slightly get warmish!
I've tried the flush and back flush but without any result. I've come to the conclusion it needs a new heater core.
I've seen the heater core swapped out on a D3 and you can just swap out the heater core itself, no new pipes so a relatively easyish job. My question is can the same be done on a D4, can you just pull the heater matrix out and leave the pipes on situ and reuse? My worry is it'll be a full dash out job in order to replace the pipes as well.
Any advice is appreciated.[/i]

I understand it is a full dash out to replace the matrix.
However I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along to confirm or tell you I'm talking through my hat  Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
