Should a D4 hiss when adjusting ride height |
|
Hi all,
I've just picked up my first D4 a few weeks ago, a 2012 HSE (and very pleased with it I am too!).
It's got a minor fault where a fuse blows if adjusting the bolsters on the driver's seat but hopefully that will be fixed by the dealer soon.
One question, though... when I change the ride height to drop it to access position, it hisses, a bit like a lorry releasing air brakes. I'm guessing this is a normal feature of the air suspension but just checking as another owner has told me his doesn't do that.
Should I be worried?
Cheers,
Ade

Yes, the car 'farts', when lowering. You'd notice it when getting out, locking it and after about 30 second it might adjust itself.

Yes, mine does exactly that! Glad it's normal to fart...๐

Yes, itโs ventung the air pressure out the struts to lower the height.
