well, specifically the metal used for the front end ... where your bonnet latches down to, grille clips in to, lights clip to etc.
Had to drill a hole in mine today and it drilled like aluminium. and as a result, drill went through with a bang and I snapped a 2.5mm drill bit. when i'd finished, grabbed a magnet to see if i could find the piece of drill bit and lo and behold, the "aluminium" swarf danced about but wasn't strongly attracted to the magnet.
what is it ?.

Same applies for D4.

I know the body panels are aluminium, the chassis is steel, the body frame is steel, there are high strength steel components in safety critical areas, and lots of plastic. Not sure about the slam panel though. If it’s magnetic it’s steel, or an alloy containing steel.
