D4 MY13 - Whine Cornering Left On Acceleration

Just noticed a slight whine under acceleration. The pitch varies with speed and can only be trigger by accelerating whilst cornering left. The noise is very turbine-like and is pleasing to the ear, if it wasn't produced under such set conditions.

The noise is similar to TC whine, but clearly if it was that the steering would not come into it. The conditions to trigger the noise are similar to a failing wheel bearing but that usually develops into a lower-pitched rumble. So that leaves the front diff....

Going against my thoughts regarding the front diff is that it has only cover 28k, there is no additional noise when the diff is working at the extremities and the noise is very low in volume. If there is any additional noise in the vehicle then the whine is inaudible. This means it may have been with me for a while as I usually drive with the radio on.

After 8 years my D3 had the original wheel bearings and diffs with zero issues.

So is my logic sound? I'm I being paranoid?

Logic sound ? Yes
Paranoid....you own a Land Rover,so yes
If it is your front diff, you've got 2k more out of it than I did Whistle
At 28k,tyre wear is another possibility....weirdly,my tyres make a whine that sounds mechanical .....what rubber are you running ?

?.......where it sounds vaguely like a turbine engine powering down quickly......that is exactly how my previous failed wheel bearing sounded, making me think that was the culprit.
