D4 - Noise doing my head in
Not sure if an issue or not or I've got used to another car which is so much quieter
My disco seems to need a 7th gear.
If I sit at 75-80 it just seems to "whine" like it needs to change gear. Its in 6th and only doing just under 2k Revs so sounds about right , however its just got this whine that get on my bits. Sounds like it needs to change up a notch.

It went in to get gear shift thing sorted under warranty the other week as it would pop out of gear at the touch of a feather. That is all fixed now
when this was in for warrantly I was loaned a 59 plate D3 base model. This was so much quieter and smoother on the road than mine. It had Scorpian tyres on

If its under warranty then take it to the dealers and get them to look at it, use the warranty before it runs out.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

MY 2012 introduced the 8 speed autobox. Earlier D4's had the 6 speed autobox.Bri

My general grabber ATs sound like 'mechanical bearing noise' at motorway speeds.
Noticeable increase in noise from Pirelli Scorpions.

I think you're right.
The main By-Pass around us is made of concrete slabs and am hoping its the GG's that are doing it.
Its gonna be booked in for MOT and Service soon so will get them to check.
