D4 Seat Covers Ebony in brochure ~ VPLAS0029PVJ

Anyone got these in their D4?

Saw a pair of Ebony seat covers fitted to a RRS in a showroom yesterday and looked really smart.

They had a bead around the squab side edges which I think was to tuck in around where the seat squab meets tha plastic seat sides to hold them fitted to the seat and the fit on this RRS looked great.

They were a shiny black/Ebony colour and wondered if the VPLAS0029PVJ's were of the same standard and fitting features.

Got a pair of LR genuine covers on my D3 at the mo and they look and fit entirely different to the ones I saw on this RRS.

Mine have a sort of roll between the base and the back which tucks down the gap between the seat squab and back and continually move about with no bead etc to tuck in around the squab sides.

Cheers.

I have a pair of LR front seat covers for my D4 and they have a flap which goes between the squab and back as yours do. The end of the flap has velcro to fasten to the cover on the back of the seat.

The covers do have the bead that you mention and it fits between the plastic side of the seats and the seats themselves. There are some other flaps with velcro which creates good tension resulting in no problems with the covers moving.

Thanks highlandcow,

Would you know if yours are same as those in the current D4 brochure?

I bought my covers from one of the site sponsors, Nick Lee of Yeovil Land Rover Parts Department aka "The Large One", so I presume that they're identical to the ones in the current brochure.

I'm away from home and don't have sufficient bandwith to check this, but I'm sure Nick will sort you out.

Thanks highlandcow.

Spoke to TLO who confirmed the design of the current covers so have now ordered along with a couple of the quick fit ones mentioned in one of his earlier posts for when things get really wet or muddy.
