Thanks dave, that gives me somewhere to start looking. So nothing to do with the throttle plate assembly mentioned near the top of the posts ? Thanks

Mine has recently started to stutter almost like when you get a sudden head wind or if you lift off the accelerator for a split second. Also only seems to happen between 2nd and 3rd when the motor is laboring. If I accelerate hard it does not happen.

Ive had the gear box flushed, software done, EGR cleaned, throttle body cleaned, new filters, software done twice etc etc. No fault codes.

Title 3.0 TDV6 Stumble/Misfire (130kmh/80mph)
Category Driveability
Last modified 03-Mar-2010 00:00:00
Symptom 611000 Hesitation/Stumble
Content
Issue:
Customer may report a slight stumble/misfire at vehicle speeds of approximately 130kmh (80mph) when cruising on roads where legal limits allow.

Cause:
Tolerance with the positioning of the motor magnets internal to the throttle plate assembly.

Action:
In effected vin range only, replace the throttle plate using part number LR013102.

Please use the following SRO -
19.70.32 - Throttle - intake air shut off - renew - 0.50hrs

In case it helps someone. I replaced my throttle body yesterday and there has been no improvement. Still getting a hesitation as the vehicle changes from 2nd to 3rd when going up a hill or towing at half throttle. The search for a solution continues.

This problem wasn't at 80 or anywhere near, and it wasn't hesitation, it almost felt like the car was coughing, happened a few times then never came back and always cleared after restarting after it had gone to sleep

I had this yesterday, SWIBO driving sitting at 47 MPH ish, on light load ( stuck in slow traffic no place to pass) flicked the box into the manual side and it was still doing it.
not sure what the cause is but only on light throttle.

Late 2009 3.0 with 107k on it. Just done a full service and autobox oil and filter, transferbox and diff oils.
Every thing looked ok.
Have not got around to purchasing a code reader yet as unsure if it would be best to upgrade my nanocom or buy new.

After about 2 hours on cruise, when off throttle cruising downhill - such as going over Shap onM6 - I get what feels like fuel starvation - engine hesitates and goes juddery. Only found one fix - use command shift to put it down a couple of gears and maintain speed so its doing 3-4,000 rpm for about 3 or 4 minutes. Problem disappears

Possibly a restriction caused by the DPF and a few miles hard working the engine clears it?
