I have a 2010 D4 Commercial (based on the GS model). I'm looking to do some upgrading but have no idea how much upgrading I can do with the spec I already have. I've been reading some posts and looking to fit new HSE headlamps, has anyone any ideas on what other easy/cheap upgrades I can do?
Cruise control, DAB, aux jack input and reversing cam would be good 2012 Mercedes E250 Coupe AMG

First off it would depend on what screen you have ( if you have one )
Do you have the full size 7 inch touch screen ... one or a tiny basic one . G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

You can forget the reversing camera and dab then ( and proberly aux in )
You can fit remote timed climate  G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Can I hard wire a 3.5 jack into the Aux input of the stereo?
I'm guessing I would have to upgrade the whole consol and screen to get all other extras? 2012 Mercedes E250 Coupe AMG

Is there some sort of haynes manual availble for the Discovery 4? I tried to remove the console today with no joy, don't want to damage anything. 2012 Mercedes E250 Coupe AMG

No Haynes Manual out yet as far as I know. To be honest with you, and this is purely my own opinion as I know Wiggs and some of the others are experts, but it would be easier to wait until yours is out of warranty then go and order a brand new D4 Commercial bespoke with the things you want fitted to it.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Thanks APL but I'm happy with my truck and I don't think it will be a big deal to add a 3.5 audio cable or for that matter any other small extras that are easy to fit. 2012 Mercedes E250 Coupe AMG

Here's some great info on removing bits on the D4 to get at the radio ( pre 2012 ... But I'm sure most will be the same )

Thank you for sourcing the link.
You won't belive it but I found a jack input hidden within a flap on the rear of the centre console cool box. All I need is cruise control and xenon headlamps and I'll be happy... Ok a new touchscreen control panel with DAB, reversing cam and TV wouldn't go a miss too haha. 2012 Mercedes E250 Coupe AMG

Not too surprised that you found the aux input behind the centre console as that's standard on the non commercial variants so it looks like they don't bother to remove when commercialising.
If you are really lucky, when you remove the trim around front centre console you will also find the big screen and nave system behind that small screen. 
BTW, Upgrading interior lighting to LEDs is a worthwhile and cheap upgrade. Especially in the rear luggage section. If you have a commercial, I'd guess you spend quite a lot of time looking in the back and the standard lighting is pretty poor. Lots of threads in the D3 section on this.

Mine's got the USB and iPod lead in the centre console, standard with the uprated audio pack.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
