D5 looks better with roof rails

Whilst I am completely prepared that the D5 has been hiding in full view, in that the New York concept will be practically the D5 that is released, I think roof rails do make it look even better. It seems to bring the shape closer to the D4 proportions.

(It does show how small the step in the roof line is as well)

Look at tiny side air intake on that shot, a RAI's not gonna be up to much on one of these!!!

Yes, its definitely one of those shapes that 'needs' roof rails.

Damn, you beat me to it. Had a few 95 estates and loved them (before I fell in the LR world)

It first crossed my mind when I saw one with out the roof rails, reminded me straight away of how bad a 95 estate looked without them - there were a few poverty spec ones around near the end.

Some of the images of the D5 remind of the photos shops that circulated almost 10 years ago when Saab were leaning towards the 9-7x SUV . It is really the C pillar that does it, pity that the near vertical one from the D3 / D4 will be gone

The C pillar, the clamshell bonnet, the wrap around headlamps and indicators (directly under the bonnet), the upright windscreen and all the window shapes. I really liked the look of the 9-5 estate, a real stunner; the long low stance really makes all the difference to this design Thumbs Up I could definitely have had a 9-5 at the time of it hadn't been for XM estates (hydraulic suspension and absolute capacity were essential at the time).

Will be interesting to see the other accessories, as per above no need for a RAI anymore.

Ladder will be tricky with that spoiler.

Side steps and sliders should be OK and i suppose there will be automatic steps available too.

Light guards would look good i think.

I expect an array of lifestyle accesorys too didn't the Concept mention deployable bike rack or something?
