Dashboard lights fault - more electrickey!! |
|
Had a new electrical problem this morning. Fired up as normal (FBH still not working!!) turned headlights on but nothing lit up on the dashboard. Turned headlights on and off a few times - still dead inside. Turned engine off, took keys out and then re-started. Still nothing. Freezing my nuts off so managed to find heater controls and switched on auto programme which turned all dashboard lights on for me as well!! Weird. Anyone else come across this? I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member...........

mine told me that it had an engine management problem on Sunday, orange light in shape of engine on speedo, it then cleared, possibly as vehicle got warm, came back again today, no loss of power etc, all seems fine, taking in for a check up on Friday
meanwhile any thoughts?

Unnecessary quote removed
took into dealers for a quick check, its apparently the exhaust gas recirculating valve which stuck, then cleared, anyone else had this?

A quick search of the forum will reveal all
Quite a few chaps have blanked them off with good results.
