It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Gentlemen, once again you have come up with the 'quick/actual' fix I was hoping for
Just have to hunt around for the clips now
In the event of me not finding them I bet one of you chaps knows how to get replacements
And as you've been so helpful I've got a P.S.
How do I get this little grill of the next panel up? I'd like to access the cabin temp sensor.
Just pull it until you think your fingers will break - and then go clip hunting again It can when others can't,

After much searching for clips behind the dash I tied some cotton to mine and attached the cotton to the back of the panel with gaffer tape.
At least I can find them now when they ping off.
Not the cheapest clips either!D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!
