Dashcam
Hi All,
I am thinking about buying dashcam for my D3, any thoughts as to what is reliable and best to get?
Cheers

There's loads of posts on here about different dashcams and peoples opinions on them
Try doing a search for Dashcams
Personally I chose a BlackVue Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH

I've just got a nextbase 312, it was / is on offer in Halfords with £25 off. Seems reasonable spec for £75
Time will tell how reliable it is.Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

There is plenty choice now and most of the more budget camera's have wifi or Bluetooth for transfer of files.
Personally I find the ones that's been about a while are over priced, and a lot of other manufacturers are sharing their lenses and other hardware.

Hi, I have a Roadhawk HD in my wifes D4, with a power feed taken from the rear view mirror. Excellent quality. I now have one in each of our cars and no issues.
Hope this helps

I just fitted the Nextbase 412GW which cost £99 from Halfrauds pre Xmas, £109 now. Hardwired in 20 minutes from a piggy back fuse (supplied) and run up the A pillar and across the roof lining. Works a treat with the Iphone via Wifi and sits neatly behind the mirror.FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!

Really easy, one bolt undoes A pillar trim on passenger side, one screw loosens passenger sun visor so headlining is loose.
Feed USB cable from fuse box behind glove box, up A pilar and tuck in headlining.
Don't block air bag and best to push cable down into fuse box.Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Can you tell me where the bolt to loosen on the a pillar trim is
Is it behind the airbag logo ?
Also do you need to take the trim off or just loosen
Thanks

You need to take the trim off, but the bolt is behind the airbag logo. Use a flat bladed screw driver or trim tool to carefully pop it off. Undo the bolt and then the top of the trim falls away and you just lift it offSill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Apologises for highjacking this thread. I only have a cable with a cigar socket plug on it. Is there an easy way to feed the dashcam from the cigar socket without having the cable showing? If not which fuse is the best to use and how do you connect to it?

Thanks guys the piggy back adapter looks ideal. This looks like it just provides a live feed so I presume I will still need to find an earth point?
