I have an 09 MY car and find the badging on the tail gate excessive.
I am sure someone must, by now, have removed tailgate badges. It doesn't look as if they are fastened mechanically, so presumably some form of adhesive is used.
How pray do I remove the badges, and having removed them how can I refit them when I come to sell the car?

Piece of cake, took 5 mins, used some garden twine like a cheese cutter, the remaining tape can be simply peeled off in one piece, don't use any chemicals, it'll just smear eveything. A simple polish gets rid of what little adhesive remains. 100% gone & no scratches
PS. You don't need to hair dryer them, see my gallery for piccies

I had debadged my front end, but that was because I fitted an 'A' frame with badges.
Gave a bit of double vision
But did run it for a few weeks without them when I removed the 'A' frame in Dec.
Have since put the LR letters back on.
If no pics are forthcoming, do the following:
1] print out a picture of your Java LR3.
2] blacken the badges with a pen.
3] hold pic at arms lenght & screw up your eyes.
Not terrific, but it'll give you some idea.

Maybe a bit easier than the 'cheesewire' option; Boil a kettle of water and pour slowly over badges and they will pull off easily and the warm water usually has softened the adhesive to help 'roll' it off the area on the car it is fixed to.
Agree too many badges on the rear, looks 'cluttered on the number-plate side and uuuhming and aaahing about taking my own off

SN, see you have your Disco3 sticker at top centre of the rear screen, any issue of wiper lifting the letters off???
Put mine over the rear handle (hence making it more 'cluttered' that side) as wiper doesn't sweep this area but preferred the upper-centre position.

Any issues with the site let me know!
Did it this week-end. Hairdryer, then product to take off band-aids, then Meguyar's.
Much too many words written on the back. Plus I must confess I do not like the Discovery name. As much as I liked the Defender name, I don't like Discovery. Disco, Discovery Channel, etc...
I am considering putting Land Rover like on the front instead. I have the badges already, but I don't know if it should go on the black plastic part at the bottom or where the previous badges were? The older I get, the better I was.
