Having scoured the net for an auto, silver D3 for under 12k and come up with zilch, I stumbled across and ad in Auto Trader yesterday for a 2 owner, FSH, silver, 'S', auto, MY2006 for £10,995.
Took a look at it today and was impressed with the condition, inside and out. Needed a couple of things doing to it; volume button on radio u/s, rear seat won't fold back up and EGR valves to be blanked off. Offered £10,000 and was laughed at by the salesman. He said, the lowest he would take would be £11,500.............. thinking I misheard I asked him to repeat his offer, "£11,500" came the reply. I pointed out he was advertising it for £10,995 so he must be taking the At this point he called in his partner and they checked the website, the partner left with his tail between his legs...... The mumpty advertised it for a grand less than he was supposed to!
So we did the deal on £10,500 including all the above bits and a service. Me thinks this old boy did quite well??
