detachable towbar

i have a 2011 D4 how much does a detachable tow bar cost to get fitted any one local recommend any one in Merseyside area also any one have pictures of them 10 E350 Merc

The clue is in the name! They take in and out and your Disco will already accept one.

The electrics are a slightly different matter, but are apparently very easy to do yourself. Can be bought from various site sponsors etc.

The towbars themselves seem to fetch circa Â£100-Â£180 on here / ebay (from memory) - someone will correct all of the above if I'm wrong! D4 XS MY12 Galway

Doesn't need fitting, it simply "plugs in" - you just have to buy one first, plenty out there though, like this: -

Unless your D4 already has them, you'll probably need the electrics fitting, not a difficult DIY job if you've got some tools though.

If the D4 has a reversing camera, isn't there also the small matter of getting tow assist enabled? Assuming one wants bendy reversing lines etc.

Also is it a software setting that disables the rear pdc or is that just electrical?

I've just had tow bar electrics fitted to mine by the LR dealer. I did purchase a brand new Genuine tow hook off ebay for 150 plus 15 P&P Current:
