Should I have a detachable towbar and a misfuelling device |
|
I'm coming up to three years old so getting things sorted under warranty.
Should I have a detachable towbar that came with the car from new? Should I have a misfuel device. I'be never had either.
Advice would be appreciated
Thanks Gary

Mine doesn't have a miss fuel reset tool, the filling point only accepts diesel nozzle at the pumps, already a flap across the filling point that the diesel nozzle pushes out of the way. L633 Defender

Ad-blu equipped D4's don't have a mis-fueling devise. My 2016 Lux didn't have one but now I've gone backwards and have a 2014 commercial and this has the devise, the filler necks are different between the models. Stu

Both my EU6 (Adblue) MY16 D4’s were supplied with a small white plastic funnel shaped device. I’ve always assumed it was a misfueling device. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

AFAIK … the misfuel device is always a yellow plastic thingy. I believe they are prone to rotting but can't for the life of me remember where I found that info. effect is the "ears" don't do the reset.

@LT - I thought the funnel thing was for AdBlu filling if you didnt have a bottle with the correct filler.

Thanks for all the input guys.
So summarising for future reference I would only have a two bar if I asked for one (didn't realise that and wasn't asked, but don't need one) and I won't have a yellow misfuel device as the neck incorporates a safety feature.
2016MY HSE with Adblue.
Cheers Gary

You should have a white funnel which replaced the yellow misfuel reset device in Ad Blue models.
If you had a tow bar it would be behind the left hand panel in the boot and you'd also need tow electrics but neither are/were standard.
Should also have a locking wheel nut key.

Unfortunatley that is not correct, early D4's had the yellow two prong item to reset the flap, flater model I think from around the Ad-blue era had a small white plastic funnel type thing.
Mormally the yellow devise was left in the glove box and the funnel was left in the OSR tray where the jack is kept, often wrapped up with the jack. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Miss fueling device is fitted in all Euro 6 models, inserting the correct nozzle at the pump opens the miss fuel flap, select the unleaded it will not open the flap as the nozzle is smaller.
