If the seat base was at fault then why was the back not heating up? From your pictures I'm still slightly confused which connector I should testing as none of my drivers side seat is heating up at all?! Confused

If you look at the circuit diagram of in my post you'll see that the heaters are wired in series. So a break in either one of them will stop both working.

The back doesn't get as much movement and pressure on it, whereas the seat base element does, especially on the bolster side. I'd bet you've got the same problem I had.

Is the thermister in the seat heater pad? My issue, which I still haven't sorted is the seat does work but not for at least 30 minutes after it is turned on. I'm thinking I need to replace the seat pad too but I think the thermister is my issue.

I suspect the thermistor is in the seat pad. It is in the disco 2, see: http://forum.lro.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=58376&start=20

Thanks mate Thumbs Up

I'll order one up, although i'm pretty certain it's over £100 for the seat pad now Rolling Eyes

hi, does anyone know what could be the issue and the solution to my problem?

my drivers seat heating doesnt work, i disconnected both plugs from underneath and still nothing works. not even the back rest section, the light comes on (2 dots) when i press the button and then goes to 1 dot after some time. does anyone know what could be the issue?

thanks!

Have experienced any burning or hot spot on the seat ? It could be a broken element (as i have Big Cry )

hmm, i thought that you could test if it was the seat base? if you disconnect the two connectors for it, the back rest section should still work fine?

is this not right? maybe i misunderstood?

thanks
