Diagnostic software transfer diff

Hi newish to disco 3 fun and looking for a little help please . I had my transfer box lock in diff lock and got terrain response unavailable code .so I replaced the entire box seemed to have helped with the problem the terrain response now works but there is still some diff lock resistance . Read that it may need calibration. Don't really want to buy a iid at the moment so was just wondering about the IDs add software and lead of eBay. Has anyone else had one?
Thanks

You could try a manual calibration! I haven't done it this way for many years as I use diagnostics, but if my memory serves me correctly it goes something like this.

1. Turn the ignition to position 2 but don't start it.
2. Select neutral
3. Fully depress the throttle pedal to the floor.
4. Hold the range change switch (in high) until calibration can be heard to begin.

5. Once you can hear calibration start, both the range switch and throttle pedal can be released.
6. Now select high range and start the engine, then wait 30 seconds while first high range calibration is
completed.

7. After 30 secs switch off ign and wait 15 seconds
8. Start engine and select low range, again wait 30 seconds while the first low range calibration is done.

9. Turn off ignition and wait 15 seconds.

Calibration should now be complete, but you must follow the sequence precisely and make no other selections other that those stated above. Hope I've got it right Embarassed

Err.....maybe step 3&4 should be done at the same time! Embarassed ie Press the pedal to the floor whilst at the same time holding the range switch to high! Then continue with steps 5 - 9.

It should work unless I'm missing something, if so someone will hopefully chime in.
