Diagnostic tool

Anyone out there,got an opinion about the Bearmach hawkeye code reader costs around £300 also there's one for around £200 just weighing up various options on diagnostic tools apart from the GAP BT one

I had a hawkeye for my TD5 Discovery was ok but sold it and bought a Nanocom however having used the GAP IID BT on my Disco 3, there is no comparison.
It would have been brilliant to have a GAP product for the TD5.

I found very little product support from both Bearmach and Nanocom, with GAP there is a full downloadable manual and the support from the guys themselves is fantastic.
Well worth the extra money (for me anyway)

I think some Hawkeyes are limited to one type of vehicle others work on more than one type I can't remember which ones are which. But to check if you purchase one.

I bought a brand new hawkeye total for my disco 4. Its ok, works well did the things I needed it to. But I have now sold it and bought an IID which is ok, works well and does the things that I didnt realise I would want to do.

My conclusion is the IID was a better experiance for me. I would shell out the extra £100 if I were you. Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch 😂

Agree with that said above, IID bluetooth great tool and super back up and support. Its the discerning choice and will pay for itself very quickly
