Cant access the ownerinfo site at the mo but if you have a look on there the instructions should show you what you need to do (once they havent removed them since the 2007 regulation changes!)A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Like drilling holes for the RAI . The thing is I'd only want it fitted for the trip, so when back in the UK it wouldn't be fitted. But don't want big holes in the bumper
This sugestion may be a bit OTT but Take the bumper off for the trip, I have 1/4 bumpers and shortened arch eyebrows you can have the use of FOC.
Zoom in to these pictures for more detail.

OK look at where it needs to be drilled - 70 mm from top of bumper crease and inside the crease nearest the plate
Then the instructions say to use a 30mm drill to drill out - my advise would be to start with a 25mm and adjust to suit - i didn't!
holes done and threaded insert holes exposed
the o/s wasn't in line with the directions so I had to '#' adjust the hole
insert to hanger bolts and according to the instructions leave 20mm of bolt exposed - these are a nightmare to tighten afterwards so I would suggest 10mm to half the heartache
Hang it on the bolts and put to bottom brackets on - first you have to insert a plate with threaded nuts welded to it into the front chassis cross member - this is tough and involves much bending of plastic!
Then hopefully line the brackets up and bolt into the aforementioned plate
the challenge is that the plastics slightly fouls the bracket but i managed to squeeze it in on the n/s but on the o/s I have only managed to get one of the chassis bolts in so far and will be taking it off in the day light of the weekend to make the 'adjustments' (big hammer!) it was to dark during the week
Finished (apart from the adjustments note above)

Just found this
Key Dates, 25th May 2007, FPS permitted for sale IF AND ONLY IF they are approved.
What do they mean by approved. Approved by who LR or the UK legal morons.
The way I read it if your car is registered before this date you are fine. Or is it a build date?
Anyone have any further clarification on this?HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE
