What did you do first?
I'm expecting (fingers crossed) to get my new (to me) D3 in the next few days. It has recently had a full service by the dealer (non LR). It's a 2005 (54plate) SE Manual with 59k on the clock.
I'm not diving straight into any major modifications at this point but am interested in just a simple list of things to check or see to in terms of regular maintenance. Ir will have a Tesco warranty but I'd rather avoid breaking down in the first place! lol
I've been looking at the cleaning kit - detailing and leather threads - so that should hopefully be in hand, but I'd rather start out with it in tip top condition before I do anything else.
Any hints or tips?

It comes down to what you are going to use it for but I fitted a second battery, tow-bar electrics and did the alarm sounder mod the first day I had it..

From new, in the first 3 months, bull bar, winch, spots, long range
tank, swing out spare wheel carrier, ladder and expo roof rack.
I had booked a trip to Bostwana in late March

1) RAI.
2) Dual awnings
3) Center dash console for radio/duel battery display and switches, with
integrated GPS and video camera mounts.
4) Removed rear seats, fitted water tank, sub frame with storage hatches,
and roller drawers for ammo boxes.
5) Removed center 2nd row seat and fitted fridge.
6) Heavy duty tow bar.
7) Extra set rims with STT's fitted.D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Good point! I'd best get one on order.
What about practical things to look out for? Anything that needs regular attention? Gonna have a good crawl around and underneath it when it arrives so are there any typical maintenance jobs to get on top of from the off?
