Found some roof bars going cheap, fitted some window shades, and changed the interior bulbs but they looked too cold so changed them back lol

Amazing photos Kris!

As for me and what I did with my D4, I slid down a grass hill, jackknifing the TA Ifor Williams trailer I was towing, bending the lever on the jockey wheel coupling in the process with the rear bumper and parking sensor.

Then had to be winched out of that mess by a 90.

Once/if, the weather improves I will remove the bumper, retrieve the parking sensor and see if I can push the bumper out a bit more.

This now makes it third time lucky for having to be pulled out of fields, need a lighter trailer! Oh well.......

Took mine to Woodside Garage in Maulden, Beds. for a 164,000 miles service.

All done and a reasonable price. Mechanic commented that it was a very nice car (said very quietly so she didn't hear Laughing )

All in all very happy bunny Very Happy

Test it out on the beach at Mablethorpe with Lincolnshire4x4Response

Have to say I was very impressed with how it performed...especially on the deeper soft sand at the top of the beach.

And the rest of the group...(Yes we allow lesser models in too Laughing )

Transported a full set of my old garden furniture over to my daughters house.

And best of all had 4 new Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres put on. Ride is transformed so the old ones must have been a lot more badly worn than I thought even though they had 4-5mm all round.

fitted some black roof bars bought from Powerfuluk, quick and easy fit and seem sturdy enough. They will only have the occasional loaded roof box and a bike rack at most anyway and im looking at a side awning which will bracket onto the bars, so a large load capacity isn't crucial.

Next up will be to fit the roof box, and I may order a set of full length bars from Powerfuluk in prep for the awning, so the brackets can be at either end of the awning bag.

This lockdown is going to be the death of my bank balance, especially as im not back working from home until next Wednesday Laughing

Not actually today but yesterday I fitted new parking brake shoes and all the associated bits, new rear discs and pads. I'd forgotten just what a pain drum type brakes are!!! And the tyre man paid me a visit and fitted 4 new tyres. Cannot believe just how much of an improvement those to jobs have made to the car. The old tyres were well worn and I suspect out of balance and the nearside parking brake had no lining on one shoe and it was detached from the other. The offside shoes were fine. The rear discs were replaced by the selling dealer when I bought the car. I suspect the parking brake shoes were incorrectly adjusted/bedded from the start. Bodsy's brake bible works fine for a D4.

Tailgate refused to open last week, could hear the actuator moving but not enough to open.

Took it to Woodside Garage in Maulden this morning, fitted new actuator in about 20 minutes and all working fine now.

Happy days Thumbs Up
