Moved the wife’s Chrysler with it today
Had a bit of a speed wobble, scary! Technically it’s the wrong way round on the trailer but I wasn’t able to turn it around due to where it was. I was hoping to also move a VW Toureug as well but I got home and the auxiliary belt decided to sheer. I’d been meaning to change the squealing tensioner this week but never got round to it. Karma strikes again.2004 Disco 3 HSE TDV6

Accidentally pressed the stick and scrolled through to see my range from half a tank. Made me laugh.

Finally got around to install the ladder. I recently purchased the ladder from a forum member and once I got it took it for sand blasting, for zinc plating and painting. Install was quite easy with the exception of having to drill out two screws. The committee at LR who decided to use metal screws in a brass receptacle should have thought again. It wasn’t exactly the best idea ever....

That’s what the Indy fits all D3s and D4s nowadays and I guess wants to optimize SKUs. The D3 doesn’t need AGM but it doesn’t hurt. I was concerned the alternator was but turned out it was only the battery.
Had to start it with a battery pack and all.

Yes, of course AGMs are useful for all LRs, of course, but why pay 80% more for AGMs? I don't see justified!!lost in translation!

Got a nice, new Pilkington Optikool windscreen fitted due to the old being chipped. Insurance picked up the tab, had to pay the deductible (200 €). Took the car in at 8, picked it up 7 hours later.

So I've just picked up my African Disco from the Main Stealers in Lusaka, Zambia yesterday.
Long story short, got away with an African "megaflush" (she's only got 160,000kms/100,000 miles!)
and a whole story about my rear dampers, etc which are now "sorted" (They have changed nothing!)
and a US$900 invoice!!
Other issues with a cracked rim and dodgy tyre (now sorted) wipers and various bits and bobs!
This is due to my "friends"who look after the vehicle.
Put my iiDT BT on her and have also cleared another whole posse of faults, only two Bodyscan ones coming back, so am holding thumbs!
Prepping for a drive down to Johannesburg after the Rugby this weekend.
Route: Lusaka, Kariba, Harare, Mutare, Chipinge, Chredzi/Triangle, Beitbridge, Pretoria, Johannesburg.
Approximately 2000kms.
In Zim we are having big problems (No surprises there!) especially with fuel. Apart from having an extra 25 litres tank with me, I will be topping up upon exit of Zambia and have arranged for fuel to be available in Harare and Chipinge.
Otherwise, along with my Carnet de Passage, I've sorted all the local insurances and whatnot, for 60 days, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, South africa onte same payment. This was for $US20 .
I'll post my misfortunes on the appropriate link, if anyones interested!!2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)

Installed extended roof rails and instead of maximum one hour job, it took me three days due to rusted nuts on the cars roof. I had to postpone wind/rain deflectors installation for next weekend.
