Excuse my ignorance, but can some of the more enlightened sages her please tell me what this symbol means?

So it's just to supplement the 4x4 info screen then?? and is only to show where my front wheels are??

It turns up in other modes as well, but is intermittent. I knew it was advising something, but I thought it would be more interesting than just wheel direction. Yawn [/quote]

All levels have this info screen, the Premium sat-nav. gives enhanced info.
the 'axle' icon disappears once the steering has been straight for a couple of seconds

It'd probably come in handy for some stuff, but, unike the 4x4 info that comes with the Premium Satnav, it only seems to come on for extreme angles. And a lot of the time it's a case of 'blink and you miss it'.
