Digital instrument cluster upgrade for Discovery 3
There was a really good thread on here about upgrading discovery 4 instrument clusters to a fancy digital display (something I intend to do to the D4) what Id like to know is there anything similar available for the Discovery 3?

Not that I know of, I've been looking into this as well. I'm no electrician or computer genius but from what I've read if you can reprogram the can bus speed the D4 mod would work in a D3.

Hmmm re programme the CAN BUS... how would you do that? The project D3 could be a willing candidate for such a mod if its possible

See on utube it’s been done to a 2008 RRS so indeed would assume it can be done to a D3 ??
I think it’s called a TFT instrument panel

Its the CAN BUS speed on the dash ecu that needs reprogramming which is way beyond my understanding. But the mod has been done in a 2008 RRS which I'm sure you've seen.

Apparently this cannot be done for D3, only D4. Something to do with system architecture/canbus. To make it work on D4 I think you need (somebody mentioned on a forum) to transfer over VIN code, mileage and something else from your dash to donors dash.

Russians say that on their webpage - D4 only. At least time I looked about month ago.
