Does anyone know if the D4 is by default fitted with a digital tv aerial (even if you don't have the tv system fitted)?
If so where does it run to (guessing its somewhere in rear right compartment) and could I run a coax from this to a tuner?

The aerial is there - it's on the glass of the boot area side window (looks a bit like like heated elements)

There is 4 antennas in the glass ... 2 on each side . Normally they would have a press stud on them which connects to an antenna amp ( 4 altogether ) located above the headlining .
From there there the wires go to the TV tuner . G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks both for that. So it sound like what I'm looking for is the antenna amp plus wiring and then it's a job of attaching the press studs to the amp input and running the output to the tuner.

The studs you can get off of 9v battery connectors, you then have to connect these to the round marks on the Aries in the glass on the rear quarter windows.
I used these, and cut the stud bit out to use.

I tried silver glue but that did not stick them firm enough. In the end I had to solder the studs onto the mounts.
Tricky to do and nervy, high heat and glass is not a good mix. d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack
D3 with the following
Alive Tuning EGR blanking kit
Alive Tuning Re-map
Alive Atrics console
Samco intercooler hoses (from Alive Tuning)
Alive Tuning De-Cat pipe, lovely tone!

jamieg7762 Thanks for this - good idea. I shall have a look at something like this. One question though. There are, I understand 4 separate antenna. Did you combine the signals from all together and, if so, how?

After reading this I'm now wondering if I'm missing something?
My car (D4) came with factory fit TV and RSE.
On the passenger rear side glass I have wires to all 3 connectors.
On the driver rear side glass I only have a wire to the middle connector - there is nothing on both the 2x side connectors.
The TV reception is a bit hit & miss when on the move and I kind of expect this but because I've nothing to compare to I was just wondering if my setup was ok.
Is there any way of checking signal strength?

I have exactly the same on my d4, but on my d3 I had to fit studs to both sides to get a good reception.
Not got around to fitting the tv tuner yet to the d4, so can not compare the reception, sorry. Hopefully soon d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack
