Gareth, I don't think your a boy racer at all, your over 21 aren't you Wink If one of your balls is half way down your dipstick, I'd go to the LR doctor and get it lifted. I think it should be painless Shocked .

The oil will go dark of course and I believe you do quite a bit of town driving, which won't help.

Just had a look at this dip stick thingy - not designed with short arses in mind, nearly had to get the steps out to reach it Laughing Oil (black stuff) was over the top ball having been wiped and redipped, so I think I'm ok Whistle To be honest I asked them to check the oil when it had its suspension bit done. It sounds like they must have topped it up because I've done nearly 10K now.

Pelyma, lower the suspension, maybe you won't need the steps next time. Its a shame LR don't supply an in cab oil level gauge. Oh well, perhaps the dip stick is safer?

Pelyma,

Be careful... BN's stilts will be made of super erasers and unused dipstick balls (probably his yellow ones). Wink

Have you thought of buying an air compressor for re-infalting the tyres ?

If so, you could let down the front tyres, check the oil and then use the pre-cool / pre-heat trick to pre-set a time for them to be re-infalted...

Obviously I would test this but I don't have a Settings Menu.

Martin, I like that idea, can you put the following balls up for vote, Red, Blue, Orange, Yellow, White and of course Other.

Now mine are also not round, but rather cylindrical. The upper one has a lip on it Shocked ?

Yes Martin, who knows what if we get into shapes... I still haven't looked at mine, I have to let the lubricant cool down before extracting and inserting the dipstick. I keep her engine running a lot (to conserve battery) and she's always pretty hot. I really should look at them before we get started, but there's not much light in the garage and I'm so anxious to ride her that...
OK, enough of this, sorry. I'll try to answer the poll.
