Disco 2012 fuel consumption computer way out - sorted now
Not sure if this is of use to anyone, but my disco 4, 8 speed, 3 litre, 2012 model shows 37 mpg on the trip.
thought i had dropped onto a miracle but then checked the tank to tank measure and the result was more like 30 mpg.
Had the car in today for new discs (3500 miles, 4 weeks old!) and asked them to look at the computer and see if it can be calibrated to be somewhere near fit for purpose.
Top dealer (duckworths) found the set up file for the car had not been populated with its tyre rim and sizes so the computer was on party time.
Inputed the tyre size etc, and the computer is much more acurate already. 32 mpg, and tank measure 31 mpg.
May be worth asking the question if you have similar issues. It is a big bus and burns fuel which I expect. I just like to how much now and again.

Curious that it isn't a standard setting as 19", 18" & 17" (latter 2 when fitted to 2.7 models for other markets) are all same rolling circumference. I assume same for 20"ers, especially if that is fitted with te standard LR skinny margin saver spare. Any difference would be fraction of a percent, not 30% difference.

Perhaps not having it populated defaults to some other measure which is a country mile away from where it should be. My understanding is that all of this CCF stuff is Ford based and thus used on a lot more than just JLR vehicles.
Whatever, I think having it populated with correct LR sizes would produce accurate-ish results no matter if on 18" 19" or 20". Put another way, those who choose to fit 22" as aftermarkets don't seem to mention getting the CCF file altered to match. But if the blank value corresponds to the wheel size on, say, a Ford F250.........that will be quite a lot larger I suspect.
