Failed MOT - Quoted fix prices
Got my MOT done today and failed, quotes for fixes are shown. Is this reasonable?
I looked up the parts I would need to fix the issues and they only come to around £230 including entirely new wishbones and bushes.
Could I reasonabally buy the parts myself and fix this on my drive?

short answer yes - but depends on how handy you are with spanners!
Plenty of good how to write ups on here. I took the wheel off and made sure the nuts and bolts undid before ordering parts as bolts often seize in bushes! Not such a Disco Newbie now!

Actually local indy - Reid Speed, seem to be in high demand so may explain prices being high (to me anyway)
Will pick it up tomorrow and get it on some stands to see if anything is seized up then, weigh up my options afterwards.

Easily done with a decent set of sockets spanners etc you will save a fortune....
get good quality long blades and a reciprocating saw and its a quick easy job
Theres a special tool to replace the knuckles if they need doing which is around £50 - worth it whilst you are doing everything else
Get a 4 wheel alignment done after and you should be fineMust stop buying shiny toys....

I thought that quote looked very reasonable, now I'm assuming that doesn't say £6.20
