Hello, i did the test the other day, I'm only a young one as well.
Make sure you do it in a manual car! Otherwise you only get B+E on auto. Test is relatively easy however

I'm doing some top-up lessons with a local driving school and using their car for the test as well which is a manual Nissan Juke, it's got no power when you stick 1t+ trailer behind.

3.5t total train weight so hook the caravan up to the back of the Disco and i'm well over that. Previous to the Disco I had a Mondeo so could tow with it comfortably but not anymore unfortunately.Cheers Scott.

Ah good to see some fellow younger members, I'm 20, nearly 21.
Until you get a B+E, your limited to 750kg due to the weight of the Discovery.
it is either 750kg, or up to a max train gvw of 3500kg. Due to the max weight of Disco being around 3.2, its the 750kg.
Once you passed your test, you can tow up to 3500kg.

I've only ever taken mine, but the kids are asking to take theirs next time, so I need to order a couple more Thule 591 carriers.

Hi trev1 we fell real lucky at Glossop caravans at first we bought a swift kingsmere but it had a multitude of problems so after few phone calls we came to an agreement to swap it for a Bailey senator but when we saw the crusader which had just been part xed we had to have it and to top it off they gave it to us for the same price as the kingsmere. but to balance it out since having the disco for 3 months I have had to fit a new gearbox ,multitude of electrical faults and now a wheel bearing has gone but still enjoying owning the pair of them and the best money I have ever spent.
