Disco 3 doesnt want to talk to dealer, help!

I've got a suspension fault and took the car to 2 different dealers to get the fault read but both said They can't get the car to communicate with them so They couldn't read faults.
So its now booked in to be investigated as to why it won't communicate next week, I'm a bit worried what its going to be.
Has any one ever heard of this?

SteveNorman had this problem on a car that came into his workshops a while back. Might be worth dropping him a line?
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
