Disco 3 Good vibrations

Hi hope your all well,

so I have 3 questions for you all non related,

1, why when going round a long corner does the traction control come on ?

2, when in low range after a couple of minutes it will feel like your dragging some thing underneath and then it will like pull the front of the truck down almost like you have slammed the brakes on ?

3, and finally while driving last night my truck started vibrating, very similar to having a flat tyre, so I climb underneath ,the only thing I can see is there seems to be a lot of play in the main prop.

any thoughts or opinions I would be very grateful.

TIA Rob

Have you had any work done on the suspension or steering alignment recently and when in low range which terrain response position had you selected. ?

Selecting Mud & Ruts automatically engages Hill decent control programme (HDC), so will automatically put the brakes on to achieve the intervention speed , try switching the hill decent off ( just press the button) . Opening the throttle increases the intervention speed the HDC operates at. Handbook lists how it works.
The first issue on bends could be steering angle sensor calibration

to the play in the prop the centre bearing may have gone. It is hidden up behind a heat sheild so very hard to see unless the disco is lifted in the air. If it has dont be tempted to replace just the bearing, it is a pain to do and from everything ive heard they do not last long

i have a new one fitted for less then £400 and should last the life of the vehicle

The vibration, specially at speed, can be a stuck brake caliper (piston) too. The wheel/disk/caliper will be warm/hot (don’t touch when you try).
