United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Metropolis LE Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

Yes they are. but you are searching for a hse and so is everyone else.

2006 metropolis are worth a look, sadly fall into the higher tax bracket of 570 per annum.

Whatever you go and view, take some overalls and take a real good look at where the inner and outer sills meet and I mean a really good look.

Not really 100% decided on spec levels TBH I'm open to suggestion hence my original question on if hey are worth the extra or not only real no no is either a base 5 seater or an S model with the Censored 5 spoke wheels that just dont suit the car at all

I have seen a metro for sale recently but slightly out of my budget

Yes aware of the rusting issue I was following this thread on the Landyzone forum on rusted sills so I know how bad they can get! Shocked

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/re-...70/page-22

One of the reasons I won't be buying one that has side steps fitted!

For what it’s worth, I’ve never been able to afford a new car, so it’s second hand all the way, but I’ll only ever buy the top of the range of whatever car I’ve bought. Somebody else has paid for the higher spec and I can’t really notice much of a difference in price on the second hand market

Some prices are just silly going off autotrader prices a 2005 hse seems to be worth the same as a 2008 HSE with less miles

I just set my budget and see what comes up up. We bought ours nearly two years ago for £6100 with 150000 miles plus our old Saab witch had done 260000 miles, so was worth nothing really.
It’s been brilliant so far, it depends on budget but there are some reasonably priced one’s out there,

Just to add, the Saab was a 95 3 litre turbo griffin which we paid paid £700 for and did us proud for four years.

I own a 2006 tdv6 se and I have everything except the sunroofs and whilst they would be nice, they only end up leaking so I wouldn’t bother with HSE

Low mileage is important for me on what ever I buy as doing 30k a year currently I want something that will last a few years before it starts to seriously looses value due to high miles so the choice on all models is limited realistically as there are so few with less than 100k on the clock, willing to go slightly over that obviously for the right car though.

XS well worth a look.

I bought one of the last D3s new. It was an XS but had almost all the goodies that an HSE had IIRC, but no leaking sunroof.

Certainly worth looking for.
