Disco 3/LR3 V8 4.4L P2135 Error code advice please!
Hi All,
My 2006 V8 4.4 has a check engine light and IID reads the code as: "P2135-62(E8) Throttle/pedal sensor/switch A/B voltage correlation - algo based failure - signal compare failure."
I've done the only obvious thing that came to mind and have cleaned the throttle body (and MAF), but it wasn't dirty at all. I cleared the code, but it's come back on again a week later.
Can anyone advise on what I should try next? I've done a search of the interweb but there's not much out there on this.
Grateful for any advice on what to try next.

Take it you have checked battery/alternator?
Could simply be TPS needs replacing, had that on one of the MGs==================================

You either need to change the throttle pedal if they are the same setup as the diesel.
Or change whatever is on the end of the mechanical throttle cable.

I haven't checked the battery or alternator. I'll do that tomorrow.
Thanks.PAGODA

I've never had this issue before so forgive what may be a daft question, but how would changing a pedal change anything? I assume (but haven't the faintest idea) that the pedal is connected to a cable that goes to the throttle body. But will check.
By the mechanical end, do you mean the pedal end as opposed to the TB end?PAGODA

So the petrol jags and diesel discovery’s had electronic throttles by this age.
A sensor (or 2 sensors A&B to be accurate in the same moulding) sence the drivers throttle command and then the ecu will request throttle open at %
The diesel disco had the sensor on the throttle pedal. And to change the sensor you just replace the pedal.
Jaguars in 1998 had the sensor under the bonnet. The 4.4 is a jaguar engine.
I don’t know where your sensor is. On pedal I suspect.
