United Kingdom 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Corris GreyDiscovery 4

Finally sorted the car out. I bought a new lead from LR spares and it was collected Friday. Fitting wasn't as straight forward as I thought. Mine had snapped in the same place as Ethanicus had. The new one bolted straight on to the body and chassis but there is absolutely no room to bolt it back to the engine. Access is just not available. I ended up bending the cable to follow a different route and bolted it back to the engine under the alternator. All finished after 3 hrs, I also put new front Brembo discs and pads on which I bought just before Xmas.
Some mistakes are to good to only make once.

So here is the offending item, clean break at the end.

Thank you so much ethanicus! Bow down

I was already thinking that my engine had blown when I found your brilliant post!

This forum is magnificent! It saves us from losing $ our rich money. Very Happy

For those who are experiencing the same problem, follow the harness number LR024287, it is positioned on the front right wheel, behind the wheel housing finish.
