Disco 4 rolling maintenance
Hi All
I am looking at disco 4s. 2012 onwards with circa 80 - 100k on clock. What kind of budget should I set for annual rolling maintenance (servicing, brakes, tyres, suspension etc) based on about 12k pa?
Thanks

My MY2012 XS D4 is running at £12.97 per day for everything excluding the original purchase price. That includes Road Fund Licence, Insurance, Servicing, Warranty, General Maintenance, Fuel and Repairs. Without fuel it is £6.60/day or £2400/year.D1 300Tdi - gone

Thanks. So if you strip out warranty insurance fuel and road tax about £1,500 pa? Is that main dealer or specialist?
What are the things that tend to go - assuming suspension bits?
What will i get out of a set of tyres and brakes if driven sensibly?

30 to 40k out of tyres isnt unheard of depending on tyre brand, and over 30k out of pads, again, subject to driving style. I'm on 26k with still a decent amount of pad depth left.

46k on my front pads and quite a bit left. The only 'on condition' items that have been replaced over that mileage are the rear pads, windscreen wipers, one set of tyres and a repair to the front PDC loom.
Quite a difference to my D3 over the same mileage.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

If you strip out the warranty cost make sure you add in repair costs as the warranty would be covering these.
Over about 12k per year, my own is running at £12.53 per day, taking out fuel, this drops to £5.64. That includes a warranty which just about breaks even in my experience to date.
Things to go on mine have included a wheel bearing, 3 door latches, lower front suspension bushes, and track rod ends.
