Yeah CY see waht you mean [ but are you sure that's not Chawton White?]. however it appears they had to dim the lights for the photoshoot to give it more of a Java [no, damn it, I won't use the word BLACK] appearance.

Pretty sure it's silver - I'm not a great fan of the white as it look's too much like an ambulance.
I sit on the fence - I think silver and black are both super. But I had to vote silver on the poll since we have one in the family I think grey is a good compromise. Looks great.

Ah but ronp, as I've said before, the silver on yours looks stunning! It's something that would only work on a shiny black model. It's the Stormer (I think they are anyway..) alloys that really.. well work. It's looks great with the silver handles and bits and pieces! But on the the silver discovery - sticking black bits everywhere (and it already has black handles and mirrors etc) doesn't make it look very special..

Back to the insurance question, many years ago I dared to claim for a £500 pound dent in my Beemer and as I had protected no-claims, I went ahead using my insurance.
When renewel time came, my new quote was almost £500 more per year and I was told that even though my no-claims bonus of 75% was still protected, they had loaded the original premium as I had made a claim.
I have not claimed for damage since, assuming that insurance is a complete rip off and that it is only any good if you kill someone or total the car.
As most of you probably know my D3 was badly keyed twice within 3 weeks, so I have not claimed, just got it really muddy

maybe this is a good cautionary tale for all - i suppose BEFORE making any claim - the insurers should be asked if this will impact significantly on the following years premium!! I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

I would change insurer...I'm with LR insurance and I made a claim for my D2 in 2004..but as I protected no claims the premium still went down the folowing year.
I'm in the process of making another claim now for the D3 ...I was told that I have one more claim left within the 5 years since the D2 incident before it affects my no claims protection.
The sh*t will hit the fan if they even attempt to increase my premium whilst the discount is protected 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
