^ Very Nice Very Happy

The blue car in the background is a Westfield btw, I'm far too common (and poor) to have a Caterham. Didn't need one anyway Laughing

And yes my lightbar whistles from 30mph-50mph. I think it actually carries on whistling above that but doesn't get louder so just gets drowned out by general background noise. Its not particularly loud at any speed though, so quickly just becomes part of the background anyway. Or I can just whistle along too Whistle

Got the snorkel after watching videos of cars crossing rivers and having the odd "submerged bonnet" moment. Didn't fancy that all getting sucked in the intake on the side! I'm not sure about the top bit though... looks like it would do the same in heavy rain. I tried turning it round but then it sounds like I have a stone caught in the front right brake disc! Thought that's what it was until someone told me it was the engine intake noise! There's another version of the snorkel that's a lot neater, but the price tag is... Rolling Eyes

She looks great! I’d love to be able to go all out with my D3, but I have to remember it’s my family transport too. I wonder if I could buy another one for fun without the wife finding out Laughing

Owning 1 of these is enough believe me you wouldn't want 2 Shocked

if you need a snorkel...should have bought a submarine....

I will have you know its a raised air intake not a snorkel. It does not help with water but keeps the dust out as i cruise the dry dusty plains of wild west Burnley Shocked

The hilarious thing is, we'd been looking for a new 7 seater for months and she suggested a Discovery early on and I refused point blank. I hated the things.
I happened to bump into a friend at the shop, we got to talking and he said he was selling his Disco and that I should take a look.
I was behind the wheel about three seconds before I fell in love with it.
I don't know why anyone would ever buy anything else.

Off Topic

That's about how long it took for me too. I went to the 4x4 centre with only two rules, not a black one and not a diesel. Then, just to see what they were like inside, I sat in a black diesel D3. Laughing
