My new baby coming to me this week.
Base '05 7 seater, a bit of an old banger at 98k on the clock, but can't wait. Hoping to turn that clock around and nurture her so she doesn't complain (or I will).
Fantastic information all around the site. hoping as well to contribute.

It's about not yet having it and reading ALL about it.
Kind of like reading the cocktail menu but not being able to drink.
Going crazy.
Thanks!!!!!

Baby whale is with me now since yesterday.
A bit of a rough start, not even 3 miles off the dealer hit around 3000 rpm in 3rd, heard a loud thud under the bonnet, suddenly lost 90% of my power. Engine fault started coming up, along with a HUGE column of black smoke and lots of really bad looks from other drivers while aggressively overtaking.
Gone my hopes of a fair deal. So...hazard lights on, built up some patience and turned rushing back to the dealer (at a whopping 30 mph) with wife and baby, thinking how the turbo was probably gone, or an injector, or the EGR valves, etc., together with my humour, and warranty would have to kick in in record time with the dealer.
Drove in, revved up, car buyers looking the dark cloud coming out of the exhaust with a sarcastic "should've bought this Micra" grin. Mechanic shows up on the spot, asks for another rev-up, opens the hood. Turns out main air intake hose was off. The guy gives out to his peers for leaving it loose, adjusts the hose, issue sorted in less than 2 minutes.
Sure, should've looked under the hood myself...
Have done 150 miles already. Car is in top shape. Halforded twice for a 2 bulbs. I'm SO in love. Drives like a dream. S version and still full of great features. Couldn't be happier.
Really glad i can "share the scare" with all of you as well. Permagrin on.
